A significant part of motorcycling is about decking yourself up with the right gear for the hobby. There is a certain ‘dress code’ for the type of motorcycle that you ride. I’m on a sports tourer so I wear a full-face HJC RPHA ST touring helmet, armored Alpinestars riding jacket, Komine riding pants, Komine riding boot and Komine touring gloves.
But my gear will not appeal or suit someone on a a café racer, say something from the Triumph Bonneville family. A Bonny owner would want to be wearing a stylishly rugged Bell Rogue helmet, with a leather jacket and a pair of denim pants finished off with leather gloves and a pair of Red Wing boots. The motorcycles come with a certain fashion statement. And the perfect place to get these fashionable yet functional items would be at Riders Garage currently located in Bandar Sunway, it is nestled among the many car modification garages.
Walk into the Riders Garage chill out space (I would not call it a showroom) and immediately you’ll feel a certain vibe, a mixture of retro, modern classic and not to mention a very hip feeling. I immediately wanted to be thin, wear skinny pants, put on some cowboy plaids and grow a large beard. Hey, it’s fashionable to be different and stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Riders Garage has all the right merchandise for a trendy makeover, the flagship product is of course the Bell Helmets range. Riders Garage is the official imported and distributor for Bell Helmets. The all-time favourites include the Bell Bullit, Custom 500, Pitboss and Rogue. I would buy one of these helmets just to put it on display.
Slap on some Dues Ex Machina Wings Raglan and top it up with an RSD (Roland Sands Design) leather jacket, get pair of denim pants to match the Red Wings of your and you’re half way there. Next you have to get your suave on and yes, you have to get a cool set of wheels, and it has to be a custom cruiser or a café race.
At Riders Garage you become part of culture, the custom culture where their bikes are built and not bought. Well, even if they are bought, most of them are torn apart and built again. It does not stop at riding gear and apparel, you may even pick up a couple of custom parts for your bike at Riders Garage. Riders Garage is also the importer for Mooneyes custom products and merchandise. You may even place special orders for an item that’s not available in-store.
There are bunch of great guys and girls at Riders Garage that are always ready to serve you with a smile and ever willing to point you in the right direction should you need help.
